Where your breath sets the pace, and your body follows. This is where the foundation you've learnt in Base starts to come alive.
Instead of holding each posture for several breaths, you’ll begin linking them together, moving through a sequence with your breath in our Flow : Pace class. Each posture is held for around 2–3 breaths, giving you enough time to find your alignment, settle into the shape and move with more intention.
What happens in a Flow : Pace class?
Every class starts by preparing your body for movement. You’ll work through poses and movements that build the mobility, strength and awareness needed for the flow ahead. From there, our teachers will introduce the sequence gradually.
Vinyasa— the flow between poses— is broken down step-by-step, so you can understand not just what to do, but why you’re doing it. You’ll be given options along the way, allowing you to choose the variation that makes the most sense for your body.
As you practise, you’ll start to notice the connection between breath and movement. Inhaling can create space. Exhaling can help you settle deeper into a shape. Your breath becomes the rhythm that carries you through the practice.
What will you work on?
Flow : Pace is designed to develop:
- Control from moving intentionally rather than rushing from shape to shape.
- Mobility by exploring movement through your hips, shoulders, spine and other key areas.
- Body awareness through understanding how your body feels and responds as you move.
- Breath-to-movement coordination as you learn to use your breath to guide your flow.
The aim isn't simply to memorise a sequence. It’s to make movement feel more natural for your body while syncing your breath together.
Who is Flow : Pace for?
Everyone. Flow : Pace is beginner-friendly and is a natural next step if you’ve spent some time building your foundations in Base.
If you're new to flow classes, this is a great place to start because the transitions are broken down and multi-level options are offered throughout to challenge yourself over time.
If you’re more experienced, Flow : Pace can be exactly what you need too. Use it to refine your movement, practise your breath or simply find a steadier rhythm in your week.
How often should I take Flow : Pace?
2-3 times/week
There’s no magic number, but 2-3 classes each week can give you enough practice to sync your breath with your movements more seamlessly. Pair with Base to continue refining your foundation, or add in Mobility or Reset when your body craves for a different kind of stretch.
As you get stronger and more confident, you may naturally find yourself exploring Flow : Build or Flow : Power. You might then come back to Flow : Pace again. That's the beauty of the practice where progress is never linear.
