What happens when your yoga practice stops being just a workout and starts becoming something you want to share? For many YM students, that’s the turning point: the moment they wonder what it would be like to step up and teach.
This January, Yoga Movement is opening that door with the launch of the YM Intensive — a 6-week fast-track programme that takes your practice deeper and equips you with the skills, confidence, and certification to lead a class of your own.
Unlike our 10-week course, this intensive format is designed for the go-getters. Two weeks of immersive training, Monday to Saturday, followed by four weekends of practice and study. It’s compact, focused, and built to fit into your world while still delivering everything you need to earn your 200HR teacher training certification.
But more than a schedule or a certificate, the YM Intensive is about connection: to your body, to the practice, and to the community around you. You’ll learn from the same trainers who have shaped YM’s signature style, and you’ll train alongside fellow students who, like you, are ready to take their yoga off the mat and into something bigger.
And because yoga is as much about giving back as it is about taking in, YM is also launching the Sponsorship Track — a scholarship pathway for students who’ve been part of the YM family and are ready to grow into the next generation of teachers. Covering up to half the cost of tuition, the programme opens the way for loyal students to move from class regulars to leaders, carrying the YM culture into studios across the city.
For students who have been part of the YM family, the YM Scholarship Track offers 40–50% off tuition and a direct pathway into the teaching team. In return, scholarship recipients commit to teaching with us after graduation — bringing their energy, passion, and love for the brand to the front of class.
We’re looking for students who have practiced with YM for at least a year, have a consistent yoga practice, and can articulate what makes the YM culture unique. Applicants should be ready to teach full-time with us across multiple studios, and commit to teaching for at least one year after graduation.
The process is simple: fill out the online application form, tell us why you love YM and why you want to teach, and if shortlisted, you’ll be invited to an interview and mini teaching audition. Successful candidates will then step straight into the training programme, and eventually into the YM crew.
Applications for the YM Intensive and Scholarship Track are now open. For more information, reach out to [email protected].
